Board Member & Vice President of Words on Wheels, Inc.

Kim’s experience in reading to underprivileged children began in the early 1990’s during Kim’s time spent as a volunteer for A Safe Place, a shelter for battered woman and children in northern Illinois. It was there that she witnessed firsthand the many struggles mothers faced and how domestic violence impacts so many children. “Knowledge is Power” supports Kim’s passion for the vision of “Words on Wheels”. By reaching out to the very young and building the necessary literary foundation through words and song children may have the opportunities to obtain all knowledge available throughout their growing years to help pull themselves out of the many unfortunate situations they face today.

Kim currently heads up the Treasury Management division as a Senior Vice President for Inland Bank and Trust and has been in the banking industry for over thirty years. As a member of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) and as one of an estimated 25,000 Certified Treasury Professionals (CTP) globally, Kim has the in-depth knowledge combined with over two decades of experience to truly understand the unique daily and ongoing cash flow needs of companies and has introduced numerous treasury management technologies to business clients.

Kim’s love for all things outdoors is evidenced by some of her volunteer efforts. She resides with her son, Joseph, in Gurnee, Illinois, along with the many animals she has rescued over the years.
