Words On Wheels COVID-19 Safety Procedures
Words on Wheels is still delivering the “words” to children—when they need it most, but differently.
We strive to provide children with the tools necessary for early development and to create a love learning and words. We love what we do, and we love the families and staff at the locations we bring our program. That is why we take their health very seriously. With the safety of children, staff, and volunteers in mind, we have implemented the following rules and procedures when packing up donations or our activity bags.
Words on Wheels COVID-19 Safety Procedures
All our employees and volunteers have received training per CDC guidelines on proper hand hygiene and protective equipment usage.
Through our partnership with the DePaul Nursing Program, we strive to be up to date on current safety guidelines.
Screening questions are conducted every time as employee and/or volunteer encounters each other.
All employees and volunteers are required to wear gloves and masks when handling any products that are sent to our families.
All products are sanitized prior to delivery to any of our partners sites (i.e. UV wand, disinfectant spray, sanitizer wipes).
We understand the challenges of these unprecedented times and want to continue to be of service to our partners and the children. In order to actively continue our child-centered mission, we emphasize the importance of COVID-19 protection and prevention.
